Virginia—Today, Virginia Humanities—Virginia's state humanities council—announced $35,300 in grants and sponsorships that have been awarded to nine nonprofit organizations across Virginia.
The grants are part of Virginia Humanities' Rapid Grant Program which is designed to provide quick funding for projects by local cultural organizations according to Adam Courville who directs Virginia Humanities' grants and fellowships. "The Rapid Grant Program enables museums, libraries, and other cultural nonprofits to get quick funding decisions for community events, exhibitions, and discussions that might not otherwise happen without this support," Courville said.
Virginia Humanities currently has the following funding opportunities available to individuals and organizations.
